Marika graduated with her Spa Practitioner in 2005 and from there went to work at a few luxury spas in Vancouver. She loves working with people and making a difference in their lives by helping them look and feel their absolute best. “When you look great, you feel great!” Marika knew she always wanted to open her own spa someday and when she moved to Brandon in 2017, she got closer to that goal. She moved here with her son, Ryder, to be closer to family. They love the small-town feel of Brandon and its sense of community. Marika’s hope for when people come to Vanish is that everyone feels comfortable and at home. “We offer services that may seem intimidating, but our highly trained and knowledgeable staff is here to help answer each and every one of your questions!”

Diane has been in the Beauty Industry for 19 years. She started her career as a hairstylist, then she successfully become co-owner with her mother-in-law Shelley Finley at Haven Salon and Spa, which they operated for over 10 years together. In the fall of 2019, Diane merged Haven with Vanish Skin Clinic to create Vanish Beauty Bar. Diane is co-owner with Marika Friesen and is the managing partner of Vanish Skin Clinic. Together Diane and Marika have accomplished a lot in their first year of business together. They have expanded and renovated the Beauty Bar as well as added more treatments rooms to accommodate the addition of Juvederm Fillers to their services. Diane stepped away from being a hairstylist so she could focus on the business side of Vanish. When Diane is not at the Vanish, you’ll find her with her husband of 13 years, Chris and their two boys, Maxwell and Otis. As a family they love to spend time at their cabin at Clear Lake with family and friends. Diane is active, energetic, caring, and full of life. She takes a noticeable pride in Vanish, making her a great leader for the girls at the Vanish.

Cathy has been a registered nurse since 1976, where she started her career in the baby nursery. She quickly moved over to the Operating Room where she remained for 28 years. During that time she became involved in the Medical Aesthetics industry and in 1995 she opened the first Aesthetic Clinic in the Westman area. Cathy successfully owned and operated Simple Solutions Clinic for over 25 years and with that she has gained immeasurable knowledge in Medical Cosmetics field. She remains committed to staying up to date with the newest Injectable techniques and takes pride in addressing the individual needs of every patient. Cathy is excited to join the Vanish team and add yet another component to the variety of procedures and services already available. Cathy is a proud mother of three and is thrilled with the arrival of four grandchildren! Her summer holidays are spent at their cottage in Minaki, Ontario where new family memories are added every year.

Ingrid has 15 years of experience in the industry. Ingrid is well known for her permanent smile and bubbly personality. It doesn’t come as a shock to hear Ingrid say; “I want everyone to feel good about themselves. Relaxed, comfortable & happy. I take pride in the work I send out into the world.” Her favourite service to perform for her clients are pedicures and facials. She enjoys seeing the before/after and helping people relax. Ingrid has developed her career by working long hours and enjoying every minute. She credits learning her work ethic from her parents. They also taught her to respect others, judge no one, and smile. When asked about her hobbies and personal life, she smiles and responds, “Come meet me and find out!”

Susan Haverstock was born and raised in Brandon. She graduated from ACC in 2015 as an LPN Nurse. From the time she got her nursing degree she has been practicing and specializing in cosmetic medical treatments. Her bubbly and outgoing personality makes all her patients feel at ease, plus we are sure you won’t leave without laughing. She has been married to her husband Ryan for over 16 years. They have two beautiful daughters, Keirstyn 18, and Sydney 14. When she is not working, she is busy taking her girls to volleyball tournaments.

Cordell is a talented hairstylist with over 16 years experience. She takes pride in her work, always striving to achieve the next level of her clients’ hair goals. Cordell is a realist and believes in educating her clients in proper hair care. Cordell has a strong work ethic that her parents have engrained in her. As a stylist, she believes the best lessons you can learn in this industry are by collaborating and sharing ideas with others. Cordell is happy she has found a career that doesn’t feel like a job. “Vanish isn’t just another salon, we really strive to make it into a family environment.” Cordell has expanding her services over the years and is well known for her Brazilian waxes. She will make you feel comfortable and you will leave wondering why you didn’t do it sooner! When Cordell is not crafting beauty, she’s enjoying time with her adorable daughter Vaida and husband Dustin. As a family they love going to the lake, pools and spending time with her parents. 

Chelsea grew up in Thompson, MB. She has 6 years experience working in the salon industry. She is full of life and eager to learn. Chelsea is always seeking courses to refine her talents with hair extensions and colouring. Chelsea strives to make her client’s hair not only a work of art, but healthy. She believes product knowledge is very important for beautiful healthy hair. Chelsea claims her father is the biggest influence on her career. As a miner of 30 years, he always told her to find something you love to do, and do it well. Chelsea does just that, and it shows! As a stylist, Chelsea is a team player that is all about keeping up with the latest trends. On her free time, you’ll find this hillbilly princess always getting dolled up. Whether it’s watching hockey, going hunting, or hiking. Chelsea enjoys her quality time with her husband, Matt and their dogs Nova and King.

Olena Rudiak was born and raised in Ukraine, Mogilev-Podolsky.  In 2009 Olena completed her first education in the nail industry at the American Beauty International Academy of Kyev.  In 2010 she moved to Cannada and made the wonderful city of Brandon her home.  For the last 10 years Olena has been working to perfect her trade by continuing to learn, expand her knowledge and skills in the beauty industry.  Her goal is to do her job flawlessly and once you have had a service from Olena, you will see that firsthand!  In 2012 she graduated from Lavish Lashes and has been offering Lash Extensions since then.  In 2017 she completed the Sugar SMAC course as a practitioner in the art of body sugaring.  Then in 2019 Olena graduated as a certified medical pedicure practitioner from the North American School of Podology in Toronto.  Olena loves her job and it is her life! She takes pride in professionalism and is a perfectionist, ensuring all her clients leave happy.  Olena has a son, Artem, who is an equally important part of her life!  She spends the majority of her free time with him but does make time for her friends.  She loves music, movies, walking with her son and dog as well as playing the violin.

Shelley has been in the beauty industry for over 17 years. Shelley bought Hair Haven in 2002 and then went into business with her daughter-in-law Diane Finley and expanded Hair Haven into Haven Salon and Spa. In the fall of 2019, they merged Haven Salon and Spa with Vanish Skin Clinic, which Shelley is excited that they can now offer medical spa services. She loves interacting with people and her smile and energy will greet you as soon as you walk into Vanish. Shelley is excited to welcome two new grandchildren into the family this year! Shelley and her husband David have three sons who are all married and they have 6 grandchildren who they love to spoil.
